In the impressive brick vault we show changing exhibitions. Current exhibition: “Als der Käfer laufen lernte” with footage from 1953 by filmmaker Franz Schrödter, who shot the VW image film “Aus eigener Kraft” on behalf of the then VW General Director Heinrich Nordhoff.

A few years ago, previously unknown photos from the early VW Beetle production appeared at an estate sale. The most beautiful pictures of this unexpected find can be seen in the current exhibition of our gallery exhibition space. The numerous pictures offer an emotional journey into the automotive past as well as an interesting look behind the scenes of the early German economic miracle.
