Corona regulations

The safety of our visitors and employees is a top priority for us.

From November 29, 2021 on, the 2G model (proof of a complete coronal vaccination or recovery) is valid for visits to our museum. The proof (WHO International Certificate of Vaccination or EU Digital COVID Certificate) must be presented together with a valid photo ID. Children and adolescents under the age of 16 can participate in all 2G offers without proof of testing, vaccination or recovery.

To protect all guests and employees, wearing a medical mask is also obligatory in our museum in the 2G model. Children under 7 years of age are excluded.

Contact data will also be collected during check-in at the museum using the Luca or Corona Warning app or manually using the contact data form.

We make sure that the maximum number of visitors per exhibition area is not exceeded. We disinfect surfaces such as railings, lift buttons, touchscreens, etc. several times a day.

Before the visit:

  • We recommend booking tickets/vouchers online
  • All tickets already booked and already paid will remain valid as booked
  • Persons with the symptoms of an acute respiratory disease are not permitted to enter the museum.

During the visit:

  • Masks are compulsory: the wearing of a medical face covering is mandatory throughout the museum!
  • Please follow the signposting system
  • Please use the available disinfectant dispensers
  • For paying at the cash desk we recommend cashless payment
  • Registration for contact tracking takes place at the cash desk via the Luca app, the Corona Warning app or by hand
  • Please pay attention to a minimum distance of 1.5 m.
  • Avoid the formation of groups

We look forward to your visit – and stay healthy!

Our suggestion

Combine your visit to the HafenCity with a stroll through the neighbouring UNESCO world heritage Speicherstadt district, enjoy a few minutes of relaxation in the Lohsepark (which is situated directly behind the museum) or visit the Elbphilharmonie concert hall (approx. 10 min on foot).
