We are expanding our permanent exhibition by a new area and will be presenting there large-format works by the internationally renowned photographer Horst H. Baumann starting September 11, 2020.

At the beginning of the 1960s, Horst H. Baumann created a new kind of motorsport photography that repeatedly surprises, irritates and amazes: through the deliberate use of semi-sharpness, through bold angles and focal points, sought-for perspectives or by playing with foregrounds and backgrounds. His colour photographs convey an immediate proximity that vaults the viewers directly into the motorsport scene with all its emotions. Whether in Le Mans, at the Nürburgring, in Zandvoort and Spa: In their game of light, form and colour, these photographs are a testimony to lived passion – in front of and behind the camera.

The exhibition is based on the new edition of the limited book “Light Years” by the publishing company Delius Klasing Verlag.
