For the first time in Germany an exhibition presented the topic of the 24 Hours of Le Mans independently from brands. Automuseum PROTOTYP honored the oldest endurance race in Europe. In 2009, the 24 Hours of Le Mans were organized for the 77th time since 1923.

At the opening of the special exhibition on the 28th of November 2009 we could welcome famous guests like the race driver Tom Kristensen, Kurt Ahrens and Hans Hermann, race organizer Peter Falk, Hans Mezger, designer of the Prosche 917 engine, and the Porsche drivers Norbert Singer and Manfred Jantke.
